Author Guidelines

Management Perspective: Jurnal Penelitian Manajemen (e-ISSN 3089-3127) welcomes original scholarly contributions in management and related organizational studies. Authors are required to prepare their manuscripts in accordance with the journal's focus and scope, manuscript preparation requirements, publication ethics, and submission procedures. Manuscripts that do not comply with these guidelines may be returned for revision or declined during the initial editorial screening.

General Submission Requirements
All submitted manuscripts must be original, scientifically sound, and relevant to the journal's focus and scope. Manuscripts must not have been previously published or be under consideration by another journal. All listed authors must have made appropriate scholarly contributions, approved the submitted manuscript, and agreed to its submission and publication.
Authors are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the manuscript, obtaining necessary research ethics approvals and permissions, acknowledging relevant funding sources, and disclosing potential conflicts of interest.

Types of Manuscripts
Management Perspective accepts three types of scholarly contributions: original research articles, conceptual and theoretical articles, and review articles. Original research articles report empirical findings using quantitative, qualitative, or mixed-methods approaches. Conceptual and theoretical articles critically examine or develop management theories, frameworks, or models. Review articles include systematic literature reviews, bibliometric analyses, and integrative reviews that employ transparent and rigorous methods of scholarly synthesis.

Language Requirements
Manuscripts may be written in Indonesian (Bahasa Indonesia) or English. All manuscripts must use clear, consistent, and academically appropriate language. Regardless of the primary language, manuscripts must include abstracts and keywords in both Indonesian and English. Authors are responsible for the linguistic accuracy and readability of their manuscripts.

Manuscript Preparation and Formatting
Manuscripts must be prepared using the official Management Perspective article template and submitted in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx). The recommended manuscript length is 4,000–8,000 words, excluding references, unless otherwise approved by the editorial team.
The manuscript title should be concise, informative, and preferably not exceed 20 words. Each abstract should contain 150–250 words, followed by 3–5 relevant keywords. Abstracts must briefly present the research purpose, methodology, principal findings or arguments, and contribution.
Tables and figures must be numbered consecutively, clearly titled, appropriately referenced in the text, and presented in an editable or sufficiently high-resolution format. Authors must follow the formatting specifications provided in the official journal template.

Anonymous Peer Review
Management Perspective applies a double-anonymous peer-review process in which the identities of authors and reviewers are concealed from one another. Authors must submit an anonymized manuscript by removing names, institutional affiliations, acknowledgments that reveal their identities, and other identifying information. Author details must be provided separately through the OJS submission metadata or a designated title page file. Authors must also remove identifying information from document properties, file names, comments, and tracked changes to maintain anonymity throughout the review process.

Data Availability Statement
All submitted manuscripts must include a statement describing the availability of research data. Authors should specify whether supporting datasets are publicly accessible, available upon reasonable request, subject to confidentiality or ethical restrictions, or not applicable to the study. Public data sharing is encouraged where appropriate but is not mandatory. All statements must accurately reflect the actual availability and accessibility of the research data.

Manuscript Structure
A. Original Research Articles
Original research articles should generally follow this structure:

  1. Title and Author Information: Concise title, author names, institutional affiliations, and corresponding author's email address.
  2. Abstract and Keywords: Abstracts and keywords in Indonesian and English.
  3. Introduction: Research background, problem identification, research gap, objectives, and significance of the study.
  4. Literature Review and Hypothesis Development: Relevant theories, previous research, conceptual framework, and hypotheses where applicable.
  5. Research Methods: Research design, population and sample or participants, data sources, instruments, procedures, and analytical methods.
  6. Results and Discussion: Presentation and interpretation of findings, theoretical implications, comparison with previous studies, and practical implications.
  7. Conclusion: Principal findings, research contributions, limitations, and recommendations for future research.
  8. Acknowledgments: Recognition of financial or institutional support, where applicable.
  9. References: Complete bibliographic information for all cited sources.

B. Conceptual and Theoretical Articles
Conceptual and theoretical articles should present a clearly defined scholarly problem, relevant theoretical foundations, critical analysis or conceptual synthesis, proposed theoretical contributions, implications, and conclusions. Their structure may be adapted to the nature of the scholarly argument while maintaining logical coherence and academic rigor.

C. Review Articles
Review articles should clearly describe their objectives, review design, literature sources, search strategies, selection criteria, analytical or synthesis procedures, findings, discussion, research implications, and conclusions. Systematic literature reviews should follow appropriate reporting guidance, such as PRISMA, where applicable. Bibliometric studies must explain data sources, search strategies, data cleaning procedures, and analytical tools.

Citation and References
All citations and references must follow the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (APA), Seventh Edition. Authors are encouraged to use reference management software such as Mendeley or Zotero to maintain accuracy and consistency.
References should prioritize relevant, credible, and sufficiently recent scholarly literature, particularly peer-reviewed journal articles. Foundational theoretical references may be included regardless of publication year when academically justified. Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) must be provided when available. Every source cited in the manuscript must appear in the reference list, and every reference-list entry must be cited in the text.

Research Ethics and Publication Integrity
Authors must comply with recognized standards of research integrity and publication ethics. Plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, duplicate publication, inappropriate authorship, and manipulation of research data or citations are prohibited. Authors must properly acknowledge the use of previously published materials and obtain permission when required.
Research involving human participants must comply with applicable ethical and legal requirements, including informed consent, confidentiality, and institutional ethics approval where necessary. Any use of artificial intelligence-assisted tools must be appropriately disclosed in accordance with the journal's applicable policies. Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, and integrity of their submitted work.

Competing Interests Disclosure
All authors are required to disclose any financial, professional, institutional, or personal relationships that could reasonably be perceived as influencing their research. Authors with no competing interests must explicitly declare their absence. Such disclosures must be accurate, complete, and provided during manuscript submission.

Online Submission Procedure
All manuscripts must be submitted electronically through the journal's Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform. Authors must register or log in, initiate a new submission, select the appropriate journal section, complete the required submission information, upload the manuscript and supplementary files where applicable, and provide complete article metadata.
Submission metadata must accurately reflect the manuscript, including the article title, abstract, keywords, author names, affiliations, and relevant contributor information. Authors are responsible for monitoring the submission status and responding to editorial communications through the OJS platform.

Editorial Screening and Peer Review
All submissions undergo initial editorial screening to assess their relevance to the journal's focus and scope, originality, scholarly contribution, methodological quality, compliance with author guidelines, and publication ethics. Manuscripts that do not meet the basic editorial requirements may be declined without external peer review. Eligible manuscripts proceed to peer review by qualified reviewers, and editorial decisions are made based on scholarly merit, reviewer assessments, and the journal's editorial policies.

Manuscript Revision and Final Publication
Authors receiving revision requests must address editorial and reviewer comments carefully and submit revised manuscripts within the specified deadline. A point-by-point response to reviewer comments may be required. Acceptance is subject to satisfactory revision, editorial approval, and completion of the journal's publication requirements.
Before publication, authors may be requested to review the final manuscript, verify author information, and complete applicable copyright or licensing documentation. Authors remain responsible for the accuracy of the published scholarly content.

Author Responsibilities
By submitting a manuscript to Management Perspective, authors confirm that the work is original, appropriately attributed, ethically conducted, and not simultaneously submitted elsewhere. Authors are expected to cooperate with the editorial and peer-review processes and promptly inform the editorial team of any significant errors identified before or after publication.
Authors are encouraged to consult the journal's Focus and Scope, Publication Ethics, Peer Review Process, Copyright and License Statement, and other relevant editorial policies before submitting their manuscripts.
